Intro to Hockey
Learn the Basics for How to Play Hockey!
Intro to Hockey (ages 4-13) is conducted by The Rink Exchange and classes are held at Lane County Ice. If you're not sure if hockey is right for your child, this program is a great way to get an idea before committing to a full season's registration with LAHA. Your child will have the opportunity to experience how to wear the gear, how to skate and handle the puck on the ice, and some basics for the game of hockey all in a fun, small-group setting.
Children who successfully complete the Intro to Hockey program typically transition into the Eugene Jr. Generals program in order to join a team and increase their level of development. If the timing of this transition occurs after the start of the season, please contact the LAHA Registrar to get information on what the registration fee would be for your player.
